Christmas Eve meeting in Poznań

On 15 December, we held a Christmas Eve meeting at the branch of Collegium Humanum in Poznań. The meeting gathered many students, lecturers and partners of the University.

The guest of honour was HE Rev. dr Grzegorz Balcerek – Auxiliary Bishop and Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Poznań, who blessed Christmas wafers and passed his greetings to the entire academic community.

Celebrations began with a welcome note by the Director of the Institute of Management, dr Filip Szymczak. Then, the Provost symbolically turned on the lights on our Christmas tree and thanked everyone for coming while expressing his gratefulness for another year of tireless work and achievements at the University.

Then, special recognition diplomas for the involvement in various University’s activities were awarded to students of Psychology and Management, namely: Eliza Żymałkowska, Joanna Jaskuła, Barbara Starczewska, Weronika Bielawska, Diana Skórczyńska, Aleksandra Drożdż, Klaudiusz Żak, Bartosz Goliński, Marcel Bilski, Michał Lewosiński. Marcel Kondracki, Dominik Andrzejczak and Wiktor Kleczewski.

The meeting was attended by the following guests: Deputy Commander of the Municipal State Fire Services – Mr Radosław Hurnik representing Wielkopolska Provincial Commander –  Brigadier Dariusz Matczak, Director of the County Employment Office in Środa Wielkopolska and Member of Collegium Humanum Consultative Council – Ms Aneta Kłopot-Wartecka, Director of Administration at Marcador – Ms Karolina Puwałowska, Director of the Centre for Treatment of Addictions in Charcice and Member of Collegium Humanum Consultative Council – Mr Jacek Sobczak, Director of the Provincial Hospital for Nervous and Mental Patients in Gniezno and Member of Collegium Humanum Consultative Council – Mr Marek Czaplicki, PhD, and a representative of the President of the Academic Sports Association – Mr Piotr Kuś.

Mr Sebastian Surmela, a representative of the Student Union, passed his Christmas wished and announced the results of a Christmas competition for students.

A very beautiful festive atmosphere was warmed up by our MBA graduate and singer, Mr Wiktor Kowalski, winner of Opole Debuts Singing Contest 2022, who presented his first solo album that was produced with financial support from the University. We sang many beautiful Christmas carols, while enjoying warm conversations and delicious Christmas Eve treats. Students also received Christmas gifts from Santa Claus.
