Collegium Humanum becomes a signatory of the Academic Social Responsibility Charter (ASRC)

On 2 June, Collegium Humanum joined the Academic Social Responsibility Charter during a dedicated conference on the topic of social responsibility for universities. The event was organised by the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy and the Ministry of Education and Science. Our University was represented by prof. dr. hab. Arkadiusz Durasiewicz, MBA – Vice Provost for Student Affairs and Science.

The main topic of the conference was “Experiences, practices and challenges of the idea of social responsibility of universities”. By signing the Charter, we have joined a very notable academic and business community – a group of around 160 entities.

During the conference, the topic of social responsibility of universities was discussed alongside the effects of work of the ASRC Working Group. What is more, some examples of the implementation of the ASRC principles were presented in three catalogues of good practices that have been published by the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy since 2019. Separately, the Catalogue of Good Practices of Universities for 2021 had its grand premiere.

Moreover, rectors representing universities that joined the Charter in 2017 held a discussion on the experiences of several years of implementing the ASRC principles.

Since tight cooperation of science and business as well as education sectors is an important element of social responsibility of every university, the conference also touched upon the subject of corporate responsibility in the field of science and technology development.

The conference in its hybrid formula is available on the YouTube channel of the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy.
