We would like to invite you to take part in a debate on “The role of education in creating social well-being at the time of crisis” that will take place on 5 December at 10:00 in Browary Warszawskie in Warsaw (ul. Grzybowska 56). The debate will be attended by the representatives of the academia, media and student community.

The event is organised by Collegium Humanum together with the Institute of Awareness Foundation, and it will be accompanied by a photographic exhibition “Human Fate?”.

The debate and its experts will attempt to look for answers to a question on social well-being, its creation and determination in difficult times. We will also discuss various topics related to the current trends in education as well as its social role in the wider community, including how to improve the quality of life of people with disabilities as well as the elderly. Students will have the opportunity to find out what kind of financial support is available to young people.

The event will be attended by Mr Mieczysław Obiedziński, Operations Director at TÜV SÜD Polska, Mr Jakub Tylman, educator and creator of modern educational projects, Ms Aleksandra Fajęcka, President of the AFA MEDIA Group, Dr Robert Mołdach, co-founder of the Institute of Health and Democracy, Ms Mariola Łodzińska, Vice President of the Supreme Council of Nurses and Midwives, Mr Łukasz Salwarowski, Editor-in-Chief of “Głos Seniora”.

Our University will be represented by prof. dr hab. Arkadiusz Durasiewicz, Vice Provost for Student Affairs and Science, Dr Bartłomiej Machnik, Director of the Institute of Regional Research and Analysis, Ms Małgorzata Krysa, academic lecturer at Collegium Humanum, Ms Monika Mielnicka, psychologist, actress and student at Collegium Humanum. The debate will be chaired by Ms Ewelina Pańczyk, President of the Institute of Awareness Foundation.

The programme of the event also includes a photo exhibition “Human Fate?” by Mr Dariusz Adam Pańczyk, which was created in cooperation with the Institute of Awareness Foundation and Collegium Humanum.

“As Collegium Humanum, we strive to inspire our students and the wider environment in which we operate. In addition to its exceptional artistic and visual value, the photo exhibition “Human Fate?” also serves a truly educational purpose, and I am taking about the broader sense of the word here. It poses very important questions in a very subtle way about consciously managing our own destiny, about the meaning of life and also about finding our motivation to act and create our everyday life,” emphasised the Provost of Collegium Humanum, prof. dr hab. Paweł Czarnecki.

The event is organised under the patronage of “Głos Seniora” magazine, “Pacjent w Centrum” website and “Invisible Disability” social campaign.
