Prof. Lech Kurnicki becomes the Director of the Institute of Management and Finances

On 20 April, HM prof. dr. hab. Paweł Czarnecki, the Provost of Collegium Humanum, appointed prof. dr. eng. Lech Kurnicki as the Director of the Institute of Management and Finances.


Prof. Lech Kurnicki is a graduate of the Faculty of Economics and Management at the Gdańsk University of Technology. He completed PhD studies in Economic Sciences at the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Management at the University of Szczecin. He was awarded the title of “Marketing and Sales Person of 2010” by the BRIEF Magazine and “Marketing Director of 2010” by the Mediarun website. He is a member of management boards and president of a pharmaceutical, media and energy companies in Poland, Lithuania and Germany.


The mission of the Institute of Management and Finances is to strive to provide students with knowledge in the field of management and finances, and to prepare them for a responsible performance of their profession in accordance with the principles of professional ethics. The Institute aims at creating optimal conditions for students to tap into their intellectual potential and develop their competences in order to prepare for different professions.


The duties of the Director of the Institute of Management and Finances include:

  • taking care of lecturers and students
  • ensuring the correct course of the process and quality of education
  • taking care of the development of the University’s faculty
  • deciding on student matters in accordance with the Study Regulations
