The specialty of forensic and penitentiary psychology is closely related to the existence and functioning of the police and judiciary. It performs a supporting function – conducting and presenting expert opinions in court cases in criminal and civil proceedings, and it also deals with human functioning in conditions of a prison isolation.

 

During this study programme, students learn about the causes and determinants of various criminal behaviours. The course allows students to acquire skills and knowledge in the field of forensic and penitentiary diagnosis. It also discusses how to prevent criminal behaviours and pathologies.
