On 27 December, the National Victory Day of the Greater Poland Uprising will be celebrated. On this occasion, the County of Wolsztyn is organising a worthy celebration of this holiday and, together with our students from Collegium Humanum Branch in Poznań, a social campaign titled “Feel the magic of freedom”. The intention of the Voivode, Jacek Skrobisz, is to honour the memory of heroic insurgents from the region of Greater Poland, thanks to whom we can today enjoy the freedom that they fought for. The social campaign itself will be a form of an educational game. It assumes that a participant follows the trail of knowledge about the uprising in the real and virtual world. Smell is one of the most important carriers of memory, which is why this campaign is called “Feel the magic of freedom”. In the Wolsztyn County, 10 diffusers will be located to spray the scent intended to be associated with the Greater Poland Uprising. In addition, almost 200 posters with a QR code will be displayed in the County, redirecting citizens to the website of www.poczujmagiewolnosci.pl, where further parts of a special audiobook about the heroes of the Uprising will be published from 21 December. An equally important aspect of the campaign is the activity in social media, where interesting facts about the uprising and biographies of the insurgents are published.

At the same time, the employees of the County Office in Wolsztyn, in cooperation with students from Collegium Humanum, prepared a social campaign “Feel the magic of freedom”. Its culmination will be the ceremonial celebrations scheduled for 27 December. “I would like to thank prof. Paweł Czarnecki, the Provost of Collegium Humanum, as well as the students”, says the Voivode, Jacek Skrobisz.

“Our generation needs role models and heroes. We found them together while we were preparing for the campaign. We tried to build a campaign dedicated from young people to young people. The campaign is also a final project in a marketing course taught by dr. Filip Szymczak. Initially, we were skeptical about this project, but over time it turned out to be an interesting experience. We feel that we are participating in something great while using the acquired skills for a good cause. This is how we imagine honouring the people who made us free today. We would like to thank the Voivode for openness as well as the employees of the County Office for all the help in the implementation of our part of the campaign”, added Collegium Humanum students from the Management Faculty.
